Mortgage Lending and Commercial Lending

We provide advice to residential and commercial lending institutions regarding compliance with secondary marketing requirements of GNMA, FHLMC, and Fannie Mae, as well as state and federal laws and regulations, including HUD, VA, FHA, Federal Reserve Board, Office of Comptroller of Currency and Office of Thrift Supervision laws and regulations.

The Firm prepares full closing documentation (including Truth-in-Lending disclosures) for lenders originating residential loans, fully conforming to secondary market standards. As part of our document preparation, we review the survey and title commitment and advise the title company or the client of any irregular matters, or items which could affect sale into the secondary market.

We are able to provide special pre-closing and post-closing services, including review of closed loan packages, authorization to title companies to fund and shipment of packages to investors with receipt and verification of proper proceeds from investor to client.

The Firm develops loan packages and forms to implement specialized mortgage loan programs, including "one-time" closings, special ARM programs, early written disclosures required by The Banking Equality Act, Regulation Z, and initial and final Truth-in-Lending disclosures.

The Firm provides advice regarding all regulatory matters to help clients comply with RESPA, ECOA, HMDA, CRA and Fair Lending.
